Henna oil is extracted from the leaves of the henna plant in India, Northern Africa, and the Middle East, and has a history of use that dates as far back
as 1200 BC in Egypt. It has a floral scent, an orange tint and a cooling effect which can help to relax the nervous system and soothe the skin.
Henna oil is most popular as a remedy for dry and damaged hair and skin as it contains nutrients, proteins, and anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties.
It is effective for reducing dandruff, strengthening and hydrating the hair and promoting hair growth. It can also be applied to the skin to treat
skin irritations, dryness, infections, wounds and signs of aging.
When used aromatically, henna oil has sedative and calming properties that can reduce stress and encourage feelings of optimism.
