Patchouli Oil

Patchouli essential oil, extracted from the dried leaves of the patchouli plant, has a rich, earthy and sweet aroma that is commonly used in perfumes and incense sticks.

Patchouli is a popular aromatherapy oil as it has a calming effect that can be used aromatically to relieve feelings of anxiety and depression and improve sleep.

It has anti-inflammatory properties which make it a wonderful topical oil to treat gout, arthritic joints, sore muscles, and inflammatory skin conditions. Patchouli oil also has anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties which can be used to treat skin and nail infections, acne, cuts and wounds.

Directions for use

Use patchouli oil topically by diluting 2-3 drops with a carrier oil and massaging it into joints, muscles, cuts, pimples and other skin areas. You can also dab some under the arms to use as a natural deodorant.

Add 1-2 drops to an oil burner or diffuser, or directly to your palms, to inhale the aroma and benefit from its mental and emotional properties. Add 5-10 drops of patchouli oil to a warm bath to soothe the body and mind.
