Pure Hemani clove essential oil, steam distilled from the buds of the clove plant, is a popular essential oil that has a history of use by Greek and Roman civilizations, as well as traditional Chinese and Indian medicine.
This oil has a powerful warm and spicy scent with anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anesthetic properties. It is most popular for its ability to soothe toothache and improve bad breath and oral health. The chemical compound eugenol is the active ingredient in clove oil that may be responsible for its ability to treat infections and reduce pain.
Clove oil is also an effective decongestant and may relieve allergies, sinusitis, colds, coughs and flu.
Directions for use
Clove oil is strong and may burn the skin if you used in a concentrated form, so always dilute it with a carrier oil before external use. Use 2-3 drops of diluted oil to treat fungal skin infections or rub it onto your chest to open up the airways.
To treat dental infections and tooth ache, use 2 drops of diluted clove oil onto a cotton ball and press it against the area for 10 minutes. You can also add 3 drops of clove oil to a cup of warm water and use this as a gargle for sore throats, pain, infections and bad breath.
Add 2-3 drops to an oil diffuser and inhale the aroma to clear congestion and loosen phlegm.
