Laurel Leaf Oil
Laurel leaf essential oil, also known as bay laurel oil, is steam distilled from the leaves of the bay laurel tree and gives off a wonderful spicy, fresh and camphorous scent.
Laurel leaf has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and expectorant properties which can help to treat coughs, colds, flu and boost immunity when used aromatically and externally.
It is a stimulating oil that can boost lymph flow and circulation which may be useful to reduce swelling, pain and inflammation, encourage hair growth and prevent hair loss.
When used aromatically this oil has sedative properties which can reduce stress, balance mood and encourage self-confidence.
Directions for use
Diffuse this oil in your home to enjoy the aromatic benefits by adding 2-3 drops to an oil burner or diffuser.
Make a calming massage oil to soothe aches and pains, and boost lymph and blood flow by mixing 5 drops of essential oil with 20 ml of a carrier oil. This can also be massaged into the scalp and hair to promote hair growth.
To create a relaxing bath that will soothe the muscles and skin, add 5-10 drops of laurel leaf oil to a warm bath.This oil also blends well with eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender and rosemary oil.
