Juniper Berry Oil
Juniper berry oil is extracted by steam distilling the crushed berries of the juniper bush, and it gives off a sweet, fresh and woody aroma. It contains the compounds terpineol, terpinene and pinene which are responsible for its internal and topical health benefits.
Juniper oil is a warming, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, carminative and detoxifying oil that can be taken internally to treat digestive symptoms and promote detoxification. When used externally it can encourage hair growth, reduce dandruff, and treat eczema, acne, dermatitis and skin infections. It can also be massaged into the joints and muscles to relive pain, inflammation and fatigue.
Juniper berry oil, when inhaled, may promote mental and emotional energy, and relieve anxiety and fearfulness.
